For this unit, we learned about poem and poem analysis. In the beginning, we were assigned to pick a poem and analyze then present it to the class. I chose William Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud". Later, I had to write an analysis essay explaining the theme and devices that were used in the poem. In class, we also learned about the devices used in poems such as personification, alliteration and simile. I've gained much new knowledge on how to write and understand different poems.
